Cassandra Hall and Tamera-Jo Grant, were college friends whom were driven by a shared commitment to community service, came together soon after graduation. Cassandra’s insightful vision excelled in organizing events focusing on crucial topics like self-esteem, peer pressure, abandonment, etc. Meanwhile, Tamera, fueled by an enduring passion for youth empowerment and mentorship programs, collaborated with Cassandra to give life to their shared vision. Together, they founded Girlfriends Ignite, a nonprofit organization that empowers and inspires young girls ages 12-17 to reach their full potential through mentorship, guidance, and support, fostering a generation of confident, resiliant, and empowered women leaders.
Throughout the years, Girlfriends Ignite has orchestrated numerous impactful events, commencing with their inaugural initiative in the summer of 2010 at Thurgood Marshall Recreation Center. Addressing vital issues, the organization has provided unwavering support to teens across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Girlfriends Ignite takes pride in its commitment to community service, organizing tea parties, conferences, and providing compassionate mentorship to empower the youth.
Every teen goes through a stage in life where they want to ask questions about their mind and body development. However, every teen may not always have the opportunity for the proper environment to feel comfortable in asking the right questions. Girlfriends Ignite is committed to pairing each teen with a trained mentor who can meet those needs with our current business model.
